Truston Wins $6M Mooring Line IDIQ


Military Sealift Command

Truston Technologies, Inc. was awarded a six-million-dollar, five-year Indefinite Delivery / Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract from Military Sealift Command (MSC) Norfolk for Mooring and Towing Lines, Wire Rope, Slings, Pendants and Fittings. Items will be shipped to MSC Warehouses and afloat assets worldwide. This contract is a follow-on to Truston’s BPA with MSC Norfolk and we are proud to continue to support the fleet’s requirements.

  • Mooring and Towing lines will be in accordance with the requirements set forth in Naval Ships’ Technical Manual, Chapter 582 entitled “Mooring and Towing”, NAVSEA S9086-TW-STM-010/CH-582 (hereinafter referred to as NSTM-582).

  • Wire and Fiber Rope will be in accordance with the requirements set forth in Naval Ships’ Technical Manual, Chapter 613 entitled “Wire and Fiber Rope and Rigging”, NAVSEA S9086-UU-STM-010/CH-613 (hereinafter referred to as NSTM-613).

  • Double-Braided Nylon Fibrous Rope will be in accordance with all the requirements called out in MIL-DTL-24050E or CI 1310, unless otherwise specified in the DO.

  • Double-Braided Polyester Fibrous Rope will be in accordance with all the requirements called out in MIL-DTL-24677C or CI 1311, unless otherwise specified in the DO.

  • 8-Strand Plaited Nylon Rope will be in accordance with all the requirements called out in MIL-R-24337A or CI 1303, unless otherwise specified in the DO.

  • 4-Strand Aramid and Spectra Fiber Rope will be in accordance with all the requirements called out in A-A-50435B, unless otherwise specified in the DO.

  • High Modulus Polyethylene (HMPE) Fiber Rope will be in accordance with all the requirements called out in A-A-59811, unless otherwise specified in the DO.

  • Wire Rope and Strand will be in accordance with all the requirements called out in RR-W-410H, unless otherwise specified in the DO.

  • Slings will be in accordance with all the requirements called out in ASME B30.9, unless otherwise specified in the DO.

  • Each deliverable shipped will be clearly marked on all packaging and/or shipping containers in accordance with MIL-STD-129R, “Military Marking for Shipment and Storage”.
